Mario jc, also known as simply JC, is a Sysop on the Super Mario Wiki. He has been editing the wiki since February 7, 2010.

History

Super Mario Wiki

Mario jc first found the Super Mario Wiki when he was looking for a list of Catch Card locations for Super Paper Mario. After browsing through the website for a few months, he ultimately decided to join the wiki and created an account on January 31, 2010, though he didn't start editing until the following week. For lack of a more creative name, he named himself "Mario jc", after his initials. He had never bothered to change his username since.

Mario jc's first ever edit on the Super Mario Wiki was a trivia piece on Hidden Block (Mario Party series) relating to how players can tell if the block contains a Star or Ztar in Mario Party DS before hitting it, which can still be found on the page to this day. His first article currently existing on the wiki is Giant Cannonball, created on February 22, 2010; his actual first article, titled "White-Green Checkered Block", a conjectural title for the Note Block substitutes from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, was merged with the Note Block page on April 19, 2015.

Throughout his first year of editing the wiki, Mario jc familiarised himself with wiki syntax (with help from his fellow users), customised his userpage, and exchanged friend userboxes with other users. Eventually, Mario jc was promoted to Patroller on July 17, 2011 by Coincollector.

Due to final-year high school studies from 2013 to 2014, Mario jc gradually became less active on the wiki. He was demoted for inactivity on January 16, 2013. However, his activity subsequently increased leading to his return to the position of Patroller on June 7, 2016. On February 2, 2017, Shokora promoted him to the Sysop position for using his Patroller powers effectively and being an experienced member of the community, which also marked Shokora's first act of promotion as Bureaucrat.

Currently, Mario jc patrols the Recent Changes page for bad edits and vandals, and also participates in category work and adding foreign names to articles.

Mario jc visits the Super Mario Boards often, but doesn't post much.
